How do I purchase an image from Image Catalog?
Stock photography images on Image Catalog may be bought by purchasing credits. Like most things, the more you buy the larger the discount. This also works with Image Catalog. The larger the package of credits you purchase the lower the cost on a per credit basis you pay.

How are images downloaded from your site?
Images may be downloaded from our site by setting up an account and purchasing credits or by using our “Instant Buy” where an account is not required to be set up.
Account holders will receive a discounted rate. Those whom purchase an image without an account will pay a premium due to processing fees.
If you have an account with Image Catalog, you simply need to sign into your account, find the image that suits your needs and click on this image to bring up the image detail screen. The image detail screen is the screen that gives you all the information on the image, including what formats this image is available in (small, medium, large), resolution size, description etc. If you know the image size, click on the “Download” button.
When you click the “Download” button, you will have the option to download this image to your browser or save to disk.
“Download to browser” will present the image within your browser. You then must use your right mouse button (left button if you are left handed) and select “Save picture as”, choose where on your hard drive you want to save this image.
“Download to disk” will present a window of where you wish to save your image for you to use later. Don’t forget what directory/sub directory you have saved your image to!
If you have completed your lightbox and now wish to download the contents, our site will ZIP all your images into a single file. When your download has completed, you will be required to UNZIP this file. To get started, click on “Lightboxes” from the upper right hand corner of the screen where your account details may be found. If you are not logged in your details will not be displayed. If you do not have any lightboxes created, this will read “0”. When your lightboxes are displayed, choose “Download Archives” from the right hand column of the lightbox you wish to download (if you have multiple lighboxes). This will now present a screen with all the images in your lightbox.

What is a light box?
A lightbox is a feature on the Image Catalog web site that allows you to store images in a group for a particular project. You also have the option to share your lightbox with others and choose to give them access to edit your lightbox. This is useful if you are working on a project with multiple people and are trying to decide what images should be used within the project. Or if you are not working on a project with others, you may still use the lightbox for yourself to see all your images at a glance. Once you have decided on what images you will be using, you may download them all in a ZIP file created by our system.

What is the base license for the images?
Our regular images that you pay to download come with our Royalty-Free image license. If you wish to use the image outside of these boundaries we would recommend you consider viewing our extended licensing options.
Top
What are the maximum allowable copies I may make?
The maximum allowable copies that you may make with an individual image will depend on the license you choose. Our standard, Royalty-Free license allows you to produce up to 500,000 copies of an image that is used for electronic or print purposes which will not be offered for resale.
If the 500,000 limit is exceeded you are required to purchase our Extended Licenses which will allow you unlimited number of copies.
Top
Why is the cost so low for your stock images?
Image Catalog is able to provide images at extremely affordable costs because of the licensing options we offer. Many individuals will find our base Royalty-Free image licensing appropriate for the project they are working on. For those that wish more flexibility from our images, we do have other extended licenses available for images on a case to case basis. Please be sure you are aware of the distribution and what your image will be used for before purchasing your image.
All images on the Image Catalog web site are selectively chosen by our agency staff to ensure quality content and diversity in our catalog of images. We strive to provide top quality images at affordable costs to our customers.

May I use the image I purchase from your site on multiple projects?
As long as the total number of copies does not exceed 500,000 and the projects you are working on are not similar in concept, then you are fine.
Top
I purchased an image 6 months ago for paper use. May I use this image now?
If the image you had purchased 6 months ago is used for the same project, and was on the original license, and you have not exceeded the maximum amount of copies then you may use the same image. If this is for a different project and not covered under the original license agreement, then you would require a new license appropriate to what you will be using this for.

What types of extended licenses do you offer?
The standard Royalty-Free License contains restrictions that can prevent you from using the image the way you might want. Image Catalog lets you expand the scope of usages with our extended licenses. We offer two types of extended licenses.

With this extended license, you may make an unlimited number of copies of the Content for the purpose for resale or other distribution, including: electronic templates for e-greeting or similar cards, electronic templates for web or applications development, Power Point or Keynote templates, wall paper or screen savers, email or brochure templates. Contact (Customer Support) if your specific use is not referred to in this paragraph so that you may obtain the rights that you need.
2. Extended License for Print Formats (EXT-PF) - 100 credits
With this extended license, you may make an unlimited number of copies in conjunction with physical items offered for resale, such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, or other apparel, toys, entertainment goods, framed or mounted artwork, mugs, posters, calendars, mouse pads, books, or other similar publication, postcards, greeting cards or other cards, stationery, stickers, and paper products. Contact (Customer Support) if your specific use is not referred to in this paragraph so that you may obtain the rights that you need.

Image Catalog does not provide images above the size of the scan/camera that they originally were generated from. Although some sites may carry images of this size or larger, chances are they were produced through interpolation (the process of enlarging the image through a 3rd party program causing a degradation in quality). Because of this degradation you cannot see the true quality of the image. If you cannot see the true quality of the image, it would not be fair for us to post such an image.

Am I allowed to download the same image twice?
We are aware that sometimes errors in telecommunications can occur that may cause your download to be disrupted. This is why we allow you to download the same image (must be the same size and licensing) multiple times within a 24hr period. After this time has elapsed, if you wish to download the image again, you will be required to purchase the image again.
Top
An image did not complete downloading now what?
If an image did not complete downloading, you have up to 24hrs from your first download attempt to download the exact same image (must be same size and image). You may wish to try using another browser or ensure all of your browser and security settings are ok. You may alternatively try using the “download to browser” option where you may then right click (left click if you are left handed) and save image option.
Top
What do I do if my file downloaded, but will not open?
If you have downloaded a file and it will not open, try the download again. Or you may optionally try our “download image to screen” option, then right click (left click if you are left handed) and save the image to disk. If the image still does not open, you may want to check your configuration options or try alternate image viewing software. You may also require trying a different browser.
Top
Is there an expiry on credits I purchase?
Although some sites have an expiry on credits purchased, Image Catalog believes that if you pay for something, it is yours. If you purchase credits, your credits will not expire.
Top
Are downloads equal to credits?
Downloads, credits and what you pay can all be different. If you purchase 10 credits at $10 and download 10 web size images, then it is equal. However, Image Catalog offers discounted rates with the more credits you purchase. Some images also require more credits to download than others.
Top
May I ask for a refund on credits?
We currently offer no refunds on credits, however your credits DO NOT have an expiry date and can be carried forwarded and used at a future date.
